Biography Biography
I was born and raised in Southern California and began studying percussion at age 9. After high school I attended the US Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk, VA and then served 4 years as a member of the US Army Band.
I relocated to northeast Ohio in 1995 and began working with local and regional rock, R&B, and jazz bands in the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area. I love music in all forms and live and love to play the drums everywhere from intimate jazz clubs to massive festivals.
In 1996 I began my "second career" as a drum educator, working as percussion instructor with local school systems and a busy private lesson schedule.
I have continued my education with such notable players as Mark Gonder, Ed Soph, George Lawrence, Bob Breihaupt, Guy Remonko, and Ed Uribe.
